Introducing John and Rudi
John and Rudi met a couple of years ago while playing golf and started working together on the local holiday parks. During that time they hatched a plan to fill a gap in the Otago / Southland market for the supply of storage units. Some of the requirements for the units were that it had to be better quality and strength than similar products on the market and that it had to be more economical than transporting a similar unit from further afield. John has extensive trading experience in China and while visiting a factory recently, he was very impressed by the quality of management, production processes and the end product. We added our own extra quality requirements to be able to supply a superior product. John will regularly visit the factory to maintain the highest level of manufacturing quality.
Their combined backgrounds make them the perfect team to achieve the supply of a quality product.
Since 1989 John has been involved with containers in a variety of ways and roles. He was intrigued with the possibilities importing from China had to offer. In 2007 he saw an opportunity to become the face of Chinese factories: sourcing materials, developing products like this one and taking them to the world.
Rudi emigrated from the Netherlands to New Zealand in 1993 and has called Wanaka home for the last 30 years. He's been self-employed for all of that time (holiday parks and firewood amongst the businesses he was involved in). He knows how to run a business and is well versed with the Otago / Southland market.
